Sanskrit Vyakaran

Build a foundation in Sanskrit grammar with a 40-day course. Practise reading, translating and speaking, understand simple sentences and shlokas, and prepare for deeper study of the Shastras.

About this course

Sanatan Vedic resurgence requires the ability to read the Shastras with precision. Sanskrit grammar provides that foundation by showing how words and sentences convey meaning.

Vyakarana is a Vedanga, and Panini’s Ashtadhyayi is its foundational grammar text. In 40 lessons, practise sentences, translation, pronunciation and speaking. Apply the grammar to prayers, mantras and shlokas.

Regular abhyasa is central to the course. Use the exercises to improve pronunciation and fluency, read basic Sanskrit texts and prepare for further study of Deva Bhasha.

What You Will Learn

  • The lessons cover parasmaipada and atmanepada verbs, introductory sandhi, compounds and participles.

  • Practise reading and translating simple Sanskrit sentences and shlokas.
